Stopped in for brunch with my sister. Had a great time and left stuffed! Staff were super nice and the food was awesome. I had the English breakfast and my sister had the Scottish eggs bennie, loved them both! The store on the other side is super cool too, I’ll be back to grab a sausage roll soon!
Food 0/5:
Some of the worst breakfast I've had in a while. The bacon was dry and felt like biting into a glued together pork dust. The sausage/bangers felt like I was chewing into am microwaved piece of meat and it didn't represent the quality food I saw on other photos for Google Maps Review. The potatoes were bland and also dry. The eggs were rancid or at least the hollandaise sauce sat around and were not made fresh at all.
Service 0/5:
We were told to sit right near the register even though a nicer well-lit area were wide open. When trying to ask for water my wife waited standing for over 10 minutes and when she tried to ask the staff for water she were ignored until single server helped us with water. When we wanted hot water for the tea before I could ask instead for coffee she just walked away.
Atmosphere 3/5:
The place felt nice and cozy until again the place we were forced to sit were near the kitchen and the kitchen staff were loud, yelling and overall distracting from the food experience.
Value 1/5 :
Your experience will certainly vary depending on the day you go seems like.It was not worth the 45 $ USD I had to pay for these over-priced microwave meals. I'm absolutely not happy with the experience and I've asked for a refund but I have been denied refund and will be working with my bank to resolve the matter.
Charming place! Good food. Great “authentic” (having never actually been to the UK I can neither confirm nor deny) teas, snacks, and such in the store.
We went there for breakfast after discovering this little gem. It seems to offer authentic British breakfast options because many dishes has beans in it. We had big British breakfast with has two sausages that tasted quite different from the other sausages we’ve had. These sausages seemed to have more starch in them. And of course you cannot miss those beans in your typical British breakfast and we absolutely loved those beans.
Overall I say this is a nice restaurant. We will definitely come back to try their afternoon tea. These types of small local owned and operated restaurants are becoming hard to find as Redmond go thru development that’s replacing these small restaurants with larger chains or more fancy restaurants, but also more expensive.
Excellent food, served quickly. They were out of two popular choices, but I was allowed to buy another piece of fish for my fish and chips. The coffee was awful. The seating was a little tight, and they seem understaffed. Not cheap. Would definitely go back if I were in the area.
Service is sub par, 10 minutes without being acknowledged and didn't refill my coffee at all during my meal. My sausage was pink and undercooked on the inside and burnt on the outside and very mushy and bland. Very subpar food and service. Won't be back.
Solid British food! Never had it before but I would describe it as comfort food. We got Shepard's pie, glazed salmon with chips, and salmon appetizer. My favorite was the chips (french fries), it had a perfect crunchy exterior, good starchy ratio inside, and paired amazingly with ketchup and malt vinegar (please do yourself a favor and combine these two condiments). I want to go back and try their tea time.
Went on Sunday afternoon and the place only had a few customers so it was pleasantly quiet. I had the Afternoon Tea which was very good, especially the cucumber sandwiches and scone. My friend had the fish and chips. I definitely want to try that next time because the fish looked so moist and flaky. The crust looked airy and crispy. Worth going next door to see their gift shop.
